Email enquiries
When you email us, we use your name, contact details, company information and the information you choose to provide to respond and discuss your requirements. Providing this information is voluntary, but we need sufficient details to answer your enquiry. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and developing professional relationships. Where you personally request steps towards a contract with us, we may instead rely on taking those pre-contractual steps. Contacting us does not constitute consent to unrelated marketing.
Website delivery and diagnostics
UKWSD hosts and delivers this website. Delivery and security processing can involve your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information and technical error information. Our legitimate interests are operating a reliable website and protecting it from misuse.
Service providers and international processing
We use Microsoft 365 for email, UKWSD for website hosting and delivery, and Cloudflare for DNS services. Our domain registration is maintained through UKWSD. They and their service providers process information needed to provide these services. They act as processors for information handled on our behalf, and may act as independent controllers for specified service operations or network information under their own terms.
Processing may take place outside the UK, including in the United States. The providers' published data-protection terms provide for applicable adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards for relevant restricted transfers, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and applicable UK international data transfer agreements or addenda. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept
For enquiries that do not become engagements, we normally retain information for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact. We may keep it longer where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. These uses rely on the relevant legal obligation or our legitimate interest in protecting legal rights.
Different retention requirements may apply to client engagement and professional records. Technical and security records are subject to provider retention arrangements, which vary with the service, operational purpose and legal requirements; the enquiry period is not a blanket retention period for those records.
Cookies, tracking and external links
This website has no Contact form and does not use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, advertising trackers or embedded LinkedIn content. The site itself does not set analytics cookies or use browser storage for tracking. Normal browser caching is separate from analytics.
LinkedIn links take you to an external service. If you follow them, LinkedIn processes information under its own privacy policy.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.
